We have come to discover that our baby is a total diva! On most days she is not one who likes to fall asleep easily during the day. Here is the process we have to go through to get her to fall asleep, it has a 60% success rate. You have to sit on the exercise ball with her and bounce with her until your legs feel like they might fall off. All the while pattting her bum and humming or saying "Sh, sh". Then when she's most of the way asleep she has to be transferred to the rocking chair and rocked. Transferring her to the rocking chair is always a fragile process, because much of the time she opens her eyes, wakes up and realizes what you're doing and starts fussing. Then if we're lucky, she is transferred from the rocking chair to her car seat (this is where she sleeps) and usually ends up sleeping in there for about 5-15 minutes before she starts fussing again. It's quite the ordeal! Ryan and I have started calling her a diva. She can be low maintenance at times, but mostly she has to be attended to very specifically!
P.S. Horray, we got our Christmas decorations up this weekend!

What a cutie! How come she sleeps in her carseat?
She just likes the carseat and she's slept in it ever since we came home from the hospital.
Well, hey whatever works. I wish Hallie would stay asleep in her carseat. Especially when we're at church. I hope you can get Addy to sleep more during the day. It's so nice when you have that hour or two to yourself.
She must be related to my child. Although, Ana isn't as difficult to GET to sleep as she is to have STAY asleep. Maybe Ana can stay up in the night with Addy while you guys are here!
