For months I have been posting about how excited I was that the New Kids were making a comeback and then about getting tickets to the concert. Here's the deal, I went with my sisters and sister's friend Aethea. To be honest, we all had very low expectations for the show. We expected to enjoy it, mostly for nostalgia sake. Other than that, we figured the singing and dancing skills would be totally lacking. Let me just say, not the case at all. We were all completely blown away for many reasons. First off, they could all still sing really well. Mostly Joe and Jordan could still hit all those high notes, which I found pretty amazing! Second, the dancing was great also. They could still get down and boogey with the best of em'. Third, they all were all looking fine. (Not fine as in well, but fine as in the middle school jargon I used back in the day, meaning looking really good!) We all agreed that Danny was the most improved in the looks category, considering the fact that he used to look like a monkey it wasn't so difficult to see why. Last of all, they were so high energy throughout the whole thing and it rubbed off on the crowd. I seriously felt like I was a kid again with how excited I was to be there! Everyone there (with the exception of the husbands, who had been dragged against their will by their wives) was having the time of their life. I danced like a maniac, sang all the words to every song, screamed, jumped up and down and had the most fabulous time! I will say that they are definitely not kids anymore and they seemed set on making that very clear to the audience. Most of all when Donny (always the bad boy of the group!) grabbed his crotchal region with some major force. There was a bit of scandalous talk by him also, which came as a shock and surprise to all of us. I'm sure if you haven't fallen asleep by now, you're wondering when then post will ever end. So I will put you out of your misery and leave it at that.
