While I'm not a fan of "playing tag" on my blog (I am a fan of doing it via e-mail, go figure!), 2 of my friends have tagged me lately so I feel obligated to do it. One friend had a tag of 6 random things about me and another 5 weird things about me. Since I feel that these kind of go together, I will share with all of you 11 random and/or weird things about me:
1. I didn't get my driver's license until I was 18 years old. I had 2 experiences that made me terrified of driving. One of the experiences involved me running into the inside of my parent's garage, similar to something you'd see on a sitcom. Not good!
2. I DESPISE it when my food touches, unless it is food that goes together. e.g. mashed potatoes, stuffing and turkey. If it does touch I will not eat the part of either of the food items that touched each other. I know it all goes to the same place, but it still grosses me out!
3. I didn't have my first kiss until I was 17 and it was a huge disappointment!
4. I take pride in the fact that I was a virgin until my wedding day.
5. I like to talk in many different voices. Pretty much any accent, low voices, high voices, etc.
6. Besides Mexico I've never been outside of the U.S., much to my own dismay.
7. In the presidential election, I voted for neither Obama or McCain. I voted for a guy whose first name rhymes with pit. I'll let you put 2 and 2 together on that one!
8. I love making posters. I feel that it's something that I have a real talent for and enjoy doing very much! I made some really awesome posters back in my Las Vegas institute days.
9. I have to get ready every day. I feel like poop if I don't. This doesn't mean that I wash my hair everyday, but I at least need to get dressed, put make-up on and take a shower. This does sometimes mean that Addy stays in her crib fussing for a bit.
10. I am very skilled at memorizing song lyrics. Doesn't mean I can sing them well, but I try.
11. I still sleep with my baby blanket every night. It's not in the best shape, but I love it!

i can attest to your ability to memorize song lyrics. when you were in junior high you taught me the words to the following songs (all of which i still know today): "whomp there it is", "baby got back", and "jump around".
i'll remember the food not touching bit....very interesting indeed. :) i wish i still had my blankie!

let me just tell you that your comment completely made my day! i'm pretty sure that one of my favorite things in the world is hearing that girls waited for their missionaries (trust me, i don't hear it a lot). so thank you, thank you, thank you! it's always nice to know that someone once was in the same boat as you. please tell me the last 6 months fly by :)

On another note...I recall your suberb poster making abilities and enjoyed them so much. I remember a particularly cute one with stick people ice-blocking that you made for Lambda Delt. It was the bomb. I laughed so hard at your criteria for what suggestions would be accepted for your breakfast party. I was waiting for you to include "food of any kind" on you yucked out by list.
Thanks for being a good sport...even if it was out of obligation!
Sounds like we need to buy those compartment-type plates for Thanksgiving, so that none of your food has to touch.
