I have a blogging friend that is doing a weight loss challenge and I went back and forth about whether to join in or not. Last night I had a dream that I went to a Dr. appointment and the nurse at Kaiser and my mom both told me that I needed to lose weight. I took that as a big sign and decided to join in. Coincidentally the challenge is starting today, so it works out! I have been carrying a lot of extra weight around since I had Addy and this is great motivation for me to lose it! April was brave enough to post her weight on her blog. I will post a picture of myself, but feel embarrassed to post my current weight. I will keep track of my weight on my own, but don't plan on posting it on my blog for all the world to see! My goals are the following:
-Exercising 6 times a week. I plan to alternate between walking with my walking group ladies and working out at home or in the fitness room of our apt. complex
-Using pilates/yoga workout DVD's to get rid of my flabby arms. No more Relief Society flabby arms for this lady!
-Eating smaller portion sizes at each meal.
I feel like these goals are totally do-able for me! I would really like to lose 10-15 lbs., if not more. I would be more happy with the way I look and I know that exercising on a regular basis will give me more energy. If anyone cares to join in, please feel free! We are planning to post results on our goals each Friday on April's blog. I linked the blog address above, but I'll post it again:

Wish me luck! Please try not to be jealous of how cute I look in these pictures! These are my workout clothes and this is my workout hair. Super sexy!

Oh you Jones girls are seriously all SOOOO gorgeous, but I appluad you for daring to commit to this. Every time I think of tyrin gto "diet" I freak out, but I think your plan is the key and what I need to do. I like that you just came up with something doable and not overwhelming. I always think losing weight means I have to eat tofu the rest of my life, b ut I think maybe just being smart and eating smaller portions and simply not snacking for no real reason would go a long way in helping me lost the extra 15 I've been carrying around since having my 3rd child. DO GREAT!! I want to hear that it worked well for you so I might think I can do it.
You look too cute in the pics!
I wish I could join you. You look great by the way, but I totally know what you mean about feeling better about your self. Good luck and let me know if I can help in any way like, taking care of Addy or something.
So fun! I'm glad you are joining in. It is all about improving and the only reason I posted my actual weight was because I was in denial!! I have 15 pounds to lose, which I feel is totally do-able too. Good Luck...can't wait to read your stats...and even though we don't know your starting weight you can still put minus whatever you lost.
yay for you! i think that's great. i'm sure you will do well. i had my doctor tell me at my last appointment to watch my weight gain and i almost burst into tears.
Your wall decorations of Ryan for graduation was the best! I also got teary eyed at Collins's graduation. Congrats to you both! We aren't officially done yet because he is going back to get a masters in one more semester. we are living at Collins's fam's house in Hilsborro. I actually think I have seen your mom at 24 hour fitness a few times. I don't think she knows me so I haven't said anything. She goes there right? I started a weight loss plan back in October and lost 25 lbs. You totally can do it. My first suggestion is starting off not cooking so much. You always make the most amazing meals, but it is really hard dieting with most home cooked meals. Smart choices frozen meals really helped me. Hope that helped!
You're before pics are really cute!! Seriously. One of the good things about being pregnant is you can kiss dieting good bye...temporarily. :)
Good luck!
I'm very curious to know why I showed up in your dream. Please excuse my dream self for being so rude to you--she's out of control! I really do wish you success!
Brien decided that he lost weight recently because he dreamed he was thin. Maybe you should create a few lines to repeat to yourself as you fall asleep. You can then also "dream" yourself skinny. I keep forgetting to dream thin, so that's probably why I'm not losing weight.
