Top 5

We moved into a new apartment about a month ago. We really loved our old apartment. We loved the location, we loved the area we lived in and we especially loved our ward family. What we didn't love was the fact that they were jacking up rent prices and totally overcharging us for the space that we were living in. So as a result we moved to this new place and there are some things I love and some things I loathe about our new apartment. In case you were wondering what those things are, I will give you a list...

The top 5 things I LOVE about our new place:
1-We have 2 bathrooms instead of 1.
2-We live closer to everything, especially to Ryan's work.
3-Our rent is significantly lower.
4-We live about 5 minutes from Costco and a 2 story Target!
5-We live literally across the street from Albertson's and a self-serve yogurt place!

The top 5 things I LOATHE about our new place:
1-We live in a pet friendly community and there are dogs EVERYWHERE! Yeah that's right, I'm not a pet person and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
2-We live below 2 college guys, one of whom loves to sing The Killers at the top of his lungs and he does NOT have a gift for singing.
3-No more washer and dryer in our apartment, which means hauling a toddler and gigantic loads of laundry to the laundry room every week. Not my favorite!
4-There is a giant brown air conditioning box in our living room jutting out from the wall and it's not so pleasing to the eye.
5-The complex we live in is about 30 years old and they didn't properly insulate the walls at all. Which means we can hear every move our upstairs neighbor guys (not to mention the very large dog living up there) make! We can also hear their "extracurricular activties," if you catch my drift!

Oh, 2 bathrooms is SO much better!

Yeah, the guys upstairs, not so much fun. Remember when I could hear our neighbor's "extracurricular activities" below us at our old place? I feel for you.

And the A/C box, well at least you have one. Unfortunately for you in the summer, it's not central.

But here's my top one for me in your move. I'm SO glad you're in our ward!

Oh, and i'm sure you've made the place into a lovely home. You're so good at that.

I can't help but laugh. I can only imagine how awkward it must be to just be sitting there reading and then hear noises that can only mean one thing.
We miss you guys!

The worst part is that it's just the sound of the bed creaking and creaking and creaking over and over again. It just happened last night and it was SO MUCH CREAKING!

no, what do you mean by "extracurricular"? sick. i told you about our issue with those as well. i love that you can hear the guy singing the killers and that you can hear him singing so loudly you know he doesn't have a gift for singing. i mean i don't love it for your sake, but i love to hear about it. you're so funny.

All the Albertsons here got sold out to some other store and so no more crazy good deals on cereals for my kids. Boohoo (I'm serious, watch for the buy 10 cereals for 20 bucks and then get 5 more bucks off deals).

That is so funny. I wish our neighbors would buy a new bed. Or WD 40 the existing one.

Two story Costco. Dude. I hope Ryan gets a big fat paycheck to cover all two stories.
