We had some very nice Valentine's Day festivities this year. A few days before Valentine's Day we invited a few friends over (friends of mine and friends of Addy's) for a little party
at our house. The girls made Valentine's for their dads, decorated and ate cookies and played together. A fun time was had by all! I really liked that Valentine's was on a weekend this year. What made it really nice was that Ryan had that Monday off of work for President's Day, so it was very nice/relaxing. We mostly just hung out and enjoyed time together as a family. We had a nice breakfast, had a really nice dinner (one of the recipes was this really great one from the Pioneer Woman. Chicken cooked on the stovetop is not my favorite thing, but the sauce was truly delcicious!) and exchanged some small gifts. It was a very fun weekend long celebration for our whole family! For my next post we're working on uploading the Power Point Valentine's card that Ryan made for me, it's really cute/funny. Which makes sense since the fella I married is the cutest/funniest person I know!

Addy particularly enjoyed the gluing
Then we went on to decorate some Valentine's cookies
Although I think Addy ate more of the frosting then she put on her cookie. Luckily each of the girls had their own frosting bowls, so there was no cross contamination going on!
Addy's Valentine's gift was the Crayola Color Wonder paper and paints. The paints were really just markers, which I think both she and I were disappointed with.

Looks like fun! Cute little girls. I'm with Addy, why waste good frosting on a cookie!
That was so much fun! Thanks for putting it on.
