Cohen is at the point where he is no longer interested in being held. He just wants to crawl around and explore his surroundings.
Valentine's Day this year was really nice. Having young children during holidays is so much fun, because of how much they appreciate even the smallest gestures. I thought it would be fun to fix a festive Valentine's breakfast. I had bookmarked a recipe for red velvet pancakes with maple cream cheese topping and thought they looked and sounded so good. They did look good, but didn't taste so great. (At least to me they didn't, Addy didn't seem to mind one bit) We also had some delicious strawberry milk, which Addy thought was just great! In the evening we decided to do a family gift exchange. We picked a name a week or so earlier and then bought a small gift for that person. It turned out to be really fun and something that I would like to make a tradition. We also got Chili's to go (super classy, right?) and ate it on a quilt on our living room floor. It was delicious! I have decided that not having to cook on a holiday is my favorite thing! It takes away all the stress of having to cook and clean up after. Addy's present from Cohen was a long Rapunzel wig, which went very well with her newly mended Rapunzel dress. She loved it!
This is before Addy's preschool Valentine's Day party, which was the Friday before Valentine's Day. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the Valentine's she passed out to her preschool friends. I don't know who had more fun making them, her or me! It took me back to my favorite day of the year in elementary school, Valentine's Day. So much fun!

Love this. Good ideas for Valentine's Day. I agree with the no cooking on holidays rule. So we need to honor it for EACH holiday, right? Presidents Day, Groundhog Day, Arbor Day, etc. Sounds good to me!!
I love your Valentine's ideas! Especially the gift exchange. I can't believe how big Cohen is. He looks like a little boy instead of a baby! They grow up too fast :(
Again, very cute pictures. The USS Midway was so interesting - a beautiful San Diego day. Addy's valentine shirt is so cute. She looks very happy to be a school girl!
