A Day at the Park

First of all I just wanted to say, no I have not had the baby yet and everyone will be alerted immediately when I go into labor, I promise! That being said, last Friday Ryan and I decided that we would go to Balboa Park. It's only about 20 minutes away from us and we thought it would be a fun afternoon activity. It is such a cool place! So huge and so many beautiful things to see. Unfortunately, we did not go to the Japanese Gardens and feed fish Skittles. (that was for you Joce) Not only are there a lot of cool things to see there, but it's a great place to people watch, which happens to be one of my favorite past times. Ryan calls it staring, I call it looking without people knowing you're looking. Anyway, it was such a nice day and we enjoyed walking around and seeing all the neat buildings and flowers. We also enjoyed the sax man playing outside the botanical gardens. We would have taken more pictures, but somebody (not me, of course!) forgot to put the memory card back in the camera. So we had to be very select about the pictures we took.

Yep, I'm definitely pregnant!

A great shot of the outside of the botanical gardens.

Ryan and I both thought this was super creepy! Not so much the pope guy, but the angel babies. Particularly the one on the right with it's finger on it's lips, looking a little like Chris Farley!

You look great, Melissa! Remember Adeline is part Mills. Stubborn as can be. If she is happy where she is...she's not going anywhere!!!!

What a fun activity! I better be notified when you go into labor. Have Jessica email me or something. You're so close! Any day now.

Liss you look so cute! I'm glad I got finally got to see a pregnant picture. I will have you know that those fish really enjoy Skittles (actually I remember they really didn't and I just kept throwing more in there). Remember how excited Mom was about those Japanese Gardens and then we got there and it was like two flowers and it was not very exciting at all? That crazy lady. I laughed so hard when I read about your favorite past time of people watching. It's also my favorite past time! I'm not very careful about making sure I don't get caught though and then things get awkward. It drives Brady crazy. Lastly, I hate those angel babies too(I believe the proper word is "cherub"), why do people like them? I can't wait for a baby to come!!!

I'm so envious you got to go to one of my favorite places without me! Sorry, I didn't read this blog until after I called and bugged you. I promise not to call again--well, maybe just once--to find out what the Dr. has to say after your appt. on Wed.

Dude. Creepy baby. You look so good! I, too, enjoy the people watching. It's a lot harder to do now that people are so fond of watching me wrangle my children when I'm trying to check them out.

So, I posted a comment on your blog this morning, and it was there, and now it's gone. It happened on Juli's too. I'm previewing them first, but I must be screwing it up somehow. Anyhow, I wrote earlier that you look too good to be able to be in labor. You must be so miserable, that you will give yourself a C-section. Not really, but close. So, you'll probably be 2 weeks late, try to look miserable, and maybe your labor will start.

Anything with cherubs is definitely creepy, creepy! At least you are a cute pregnant girl. Did people say things to you like, "so, are you pregnant?"
