I'm a girl, not yet a woman!

You might be wondering why I have put a picture of the above items on my blog. Well, these are the things that I chose to buy as snacks and pack in my hospital suitcase for after the baby is born. What do they have in common? Well, they're all junk food and they're all food that kids eat. I have come to the conclusion over the years that I eat like a little kid. This includes liking only ketchup on my hamburgers, not liking salad, and the fact that I love fruit snacks and Capri Suns are my drink of choice! Anyway, I'm 100% sure these foods will sustain my energy after hours of labor and giving birth. (That was meant to sound totally sarcastic, by the way!) Also, I wanted to include a picture of the swing I got at my most recent shower. (That's shower #3 for those of you keeping track, totally awesome really!) It is so cute and plays all kinds of different music. I love the cute little jungle mobile attached to it. I also got a gift card to Babies R' Us, which I'm excited to use soon. Now if baby Adeline can just get here, we'll be in good shape!

Don't feel bad abut the junk food. I almost have a huge bag (we buy generic) of fruity pebbles finished in a matter of 3 days. Just about the best thing ever right now! You're going to come home one day with Ryan wearing a diaper, trying to fit himself into that swing. Creepy! I can't believe it's less than a week away!!!! (Hopefully!)

Um, that's pretty much the best variety back of fruity goodness I've ever seen! I mean Fruit Roll-ups, Fruit by the Foot, AND Gushers?! I really really need to purchase that. Do they have it at Target?

I'm not sure if they have it at Target, but I know they have it at most of the grocery stores. I got it at Vons and I love it!

I remember taking Chip's Ahoy when I had Kirra. I packed so much food the first time. They with the others I found out, you will have no time to eat. You will be feeding the baby, and sleeping, and answering the phone, and talking to the 4 million people that come in to the room.

I have never even thought to pack food to take to the hospital. Wow. I'm totally excited about that now. The hospital food was awesome with Savvy and totally sick when I had Ethan.

Also, if that is the swing that goes side to side and reclines, it is awesome. I can't tell from the picture though. We have the nature sounds one and it saved my life with colicky Ethan. I hope the baby comes soon!

Melissa-
This is Kira...Your website is so cute and you are hilarious on the blog. I hope that your baby comes soon and I am sure that you will write a post about it as soon as she does so that we can all see her cute little face. Good luck to you. Only 3 weeks left for me. Wow!

Cute swing. I'm glad your wish came true. Just a little personal experience, you may not feel like eating anything for a couple days after giving birth. But feel free to take some snacks in case your experience is different than mine. And Kelly is right, you really do have nurses and the birth certificate people and doctors and lactation specialists coming in and out of your room. It's really not very relaxing!
