Ryan's extended family has a yearly Christmas party. This year it was his Aunt Patti's turn to host. It was really nice, because she only lives about 2 hours away from us. We hit some traffic on the way there and were afraid we were going to have a repeat of the Thanksgiving incident, but luckily it cleared up and we were able to get to her house quickly. We had a really great time at the party! There was amazing food, fun games and singing. Aunt Patti is one of the most organized people I've ever met and did such a great job getting ready for and executing such a huge gathering. I was a little bummed not to be able to participate in the gift exchange, because I was feeding the baby. (She of course woke up and wanted to eat the second it started, little stinker!) It may have been a blessing though, because it's a gift exchange where other people can steal the gift you open. For some reason I get really angry and competitive with stuff like that, which is not my usual nature. We were also excited to show off Addy. She looked quite adorable and it was the first time she had ever worn a bow in her hair. Everyone really enjoyed holding her and looking at her and it was a nice break for Ryan and I also. We had a wonderful time seeing all of Ryan's family and look forward to next years party!
