Class of 98'
I got an e-mail a couple of weeks ago informing me that my 10 year high school reunion is coming up. I immediately wanted to jump out the window (not that I would have to far to fall, being that we live on a bottom floor apartment, maybe I would go upstairs and ask if I could jump out the window!), for 2 reasons. Reason #1: It made me feel so old! It seems totally impossible that I graduated 10 years ago. It doesn't seem like I was just there yesterday, but it certainly doesn't seem like 10 years have already passed! Reason #2: High school was without a doubt the worst time of my life. At least my junior and senior year were. I know people say that those are supposed to be the best years of your life, but this just wasn't the case for me. I went to 3 different high schools in 4 years, which was especially difficult because I was quite shy in large social settings in my high school years. I didn't enjoy going to parties and I didn't enjoy being around tons of people either. I felt very out of place at Green Valley High School, like I just wasn't cool enough to fit in. All in all, it was just an especially difficult time for me and not something I would care to relive. Needless to say I do not plan on attending the reunion.

I'm pretty sure I won't be going to mine either.
Mo Jo,
Hey girl, I'm sooo glad you found me, and that I know how to use this thing finally, and can add you to mine!!! Yay!!! I love you guys, and your little Addy is beautiful.

wow, you do not look old enough to be going to your 10 year! You are a hottie!
High school is rough...to mcu drama for my taste!
I won't be going to mine next year either. Those were not the best years of my life and I don't want to go back and see the people who made it that way. I keep in touch with the people I liked in high school so there is no need to go back.
High school reunions--not a fan. How about you come visit us instead!
Justin and I didn't go to ours...now that our 20th is coming up (yes, our 20th...we just can't be THAT old!) we won't be going to that either...well maybe if I lose 100 pounds. I still doubt it though. I think reunions are for the popular people who just need another location to get drunk. I loved high school, but I still don't think I need to revisit it.
I think the term "High School" actually means "Drama" in latin. At least that is how I feel about H.S. looking back.
Melissa- It's Alisa Zockoll. I saw your blog on Rushelles. Your little girl is so cute and looks just like you. Getting the email made me feel so old too. I wish you would come. Did you see they are having a "LDS" reunion at a park? All the families can come. It should be fun. You should come to that one.
