I know that it's been awhile since I last posted. We've been having a wonderful time visiting Ryan's family in Napa. We were able to celebrate our anniversary and 4th of July here. (Which I will write about when we get home on Tuesday.) However, I did want to share 2 new things that I've found out about lately that I really enjoy.
Thing #1- I really love Google Reader! I'm sure that a lot of people knew about it quite some time ago. I can credit this find to my sister's friend, Nancy. People told me to start using it, but once she described what it is actually used for, I finally decided I would jump on the bandwagon. It's basically an inbox for the Internet. You can put links to people's blogs and when you go to Google Reader it will show you who has updated their blog and even their post. It's very cool and saves a lot of time, you don't have to go clicking around on every one's blog forever.
Thing #2- I also found this really great baking blog called Bake or Break and want to try pretty much every recipe on it. (Although I haven't tried any of them yet.) Everything on it looks so delightful! There is one dessert that looks particularly delicious, called Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake Bars. Can you honestly imagine anything better than cookie dough and cheesecake combined? I truly cannot, it looks so delicious!
Anyway, those are my finds. I hope that everyone had as nice of a 4th of July holiday as we did!

I love google reader.
Yeah, I am so happy you started using google reader. I would have helpfully mentioned it to people long long ago on my blog, but I am so very often the last to know anything that when I do know something, I assume that everyone else has known it for decades. It is so nice though because I used to feel a little guilty when I'd be blog checking because it would take so long, but now I just click on that once or twoce a day and can get quick updates on everyone! i spend much less time messing around with blogs but actually am much more in the loop! Yippee.
Also, I love that you had google reader and baking combined in one post. I LOVE to bake. Not cook real food so much, but bake goodies. I am always nervous to try something new though so I love when others blog and tell me something was delicious.
I also love food blogs...so many options! What to make next!?
Beware. Google Reader may make you a crappy blog commenter. It's done it to me!
O.K. we need to make treats when I'm there. Less than a month away! HOORAY! HOORAY! It will be our lucky day hooray, hooray!
I'm excited to hear about your trip to Napa and I hope you got to have a fun date for your anniversary. (I could sing the song about that too, but I already did the one about "Hooray!")
