Goodwill to all and to us a good night!
Ryan is really big on going thrift shopping, I would say at least 70% of the clothes in his closet come from a thrift store. I am the type that doesn't enjoy the idea of going to the thrift store, (mostly because they always smell a little off and I always feel like I need to take a shower when I leave!) but once I get there I always seem to find all kinds of great stuff and end up enjoying myself. Yesterday, we decided to take a little trip to Goodwill. They opened one just down the street from us recently. It's kind of a strange area for a thrift store, in the middle of some fairly upscale shops and in a nice area. I concluded that this is why they have lots of nice stuff there. We made out like bandits, it was awesome! I got two new pairs of jeans, (not like the weird 80's stirrup leggings with a floral print, but really nice jeans) Ryan got two new shirts and Addy got two Baby Einstein DVDs. Grand total, about $27. Pretty great, considering the two DVDs alone, would have cost us more than that at Target. In other good news, Addy has been sleeping better lately. On account of the traveling and her teething, she wasn't sleeping so great there for awhile. Last night she slept very well, much to the delight of me! She went to bed around 6:30, woke up to eat around 5:30 and then woke up for the day around 8:40. Which meant I slept in until about 8:15. Since one of my favorite hobbies is sleeping, this was delightful for me. All in all, yesterday was quite a marvelous day!

I find great joy in being a scavenger and finding deals! Hooray for your purchases and for sleeping so good! I love the title by the way!
Baby Z is trying to get a new tooth too. Wednesday night was bad, last night no problems. Maybe the three teething tablets I gave her right before bed helped. In any case, until the tooth comes through I get to wonder if it will be a good or bad night.
I am pretty sure that thrift store shopping is definetly my favorite thing! I went to Goodwill and Savers last week and spent a grand total of $30 dollars on 3 shirts and a plastic airplane and dump truck both with their ORIGINAL tags on them! I love when you can enjoy great deals like that!
Sweet deal on the Goodwill stuff! That's awesome. That would be a great day for me as well.
Sounds like a good day! I have a memory of school shopping for Ryan his senior year. He took me (I complained the whole way) to Vallejo to a great thrift shop. He bought a ton of clothes and I bought some toys for grandkids and altogether spent under $40. I came out smiling. AFter experiencing school shopping for three daughters, this was just fun!And cheap!
ryan loves the goodwill type stores way to much. At least you have a nice clean one. Finding a good deal always makes me happy.
