Yesterday we had a very nice day. Ryan has been working really hard on his thesis lately and he will be starting school next Tuesday. We figured that before he gets totally busy we should go do something fun as a family. We decided that we'd go to Ocean Beach. We also got to eat lunch at
Hodad's, which was great because I've been wanting to eat there for quite awhile now. It's the type of place that's always busy, because of how good the food is. We got there at 2:00 and had to wait about 10 mins. for a table, but it was well worth the wait. After lunch, we walked down the street to the beach. Addy had a wonderful time digging in the sand (and attempting to eat not only the sand, but all the random twigs and other sick things in the sand too!) and even playing in the water. She is a total beach baby! She was really enjoying herself in the water until a wave unexpectedly came up and soaked her. She didn't mind her body being wet, but once the water hit her face she was in total shock! She didn't cry, but just stared at Ryan and I with the widest and most surprised eyes ever! She's such a funny little lady. We had a great time at the beach and came home feeling happy and relaxed. I went really picture crazy at the beach, so you'll have to forgive me. There were just a whole lot of good photo ops. that I couldn't pass up!
As you can see from the picture, Addy enjoyed her fair share of the chocolate shake we ordered. She is my daughter, after all. How could she not love chocolate?

You can see where Addy inherited her tan skin from, right?
Addy was quite fascinated by the sand toys.
Sandy bum!

Ry fixing Addy's swimming suit straps for the umpteenth time, they really don't like to stay up!

As you can see, she also enjoyed her fair share of sand

Liking the water...

Sitting in the water...

Standing in the water...

Daddy swinging her in the water...

Not enjoying the water so much at all!

She was so over it at this point!

"Mom, how could you have let this happen to me?"

These were a couple of my favorite pics. from the day, she just looks so happy and of course the swimming suit is not even trying to stay on her shoulders!

Great pics! Southern Calif beaches are the best. Addy looks adorable, even with sand on her face and bum!
That is so cute, was the water warm? Mom's right, those beaches are WAY better than NorCal beaches. I want to take a big chunky bite of Addy's adorable thighs!!!!!
You are so LUCKY that you live so close to the beach. I am JEALOUS!
Thanks for sharing your photos of lovely beach baby. I'm glad you had a fun, relaxing day!
Addy must not have the same hand washing issues that Melissa does :)
She is sooo cute.
