If you read the Design Mom blog on a regular basis or have Google Reader, you may have already heard about this. There was a woman named, Stephanie and her husband, Christian that were recently in a bad plane crash. They are a young couple, with 4 young children. They are both currently in a coma and might continue to be for quite some time. I don't know the family personally. I have only read Stephanie's blog (titled the Nie Nie dialouges) and her sister,
Courtney's blog a few times before I heard about this. However, my heart really goes out to this couple and their family. Via the blogging world, a whole lot of people have spread the word about their story. In their honor a whole bunch of different people are holding silent auctions to raise money for the family, via their blogs today. If you are interested in buying anything, you can go to the Design Mom blog and she has a full list of things being auctioned off. I don't know how much I'll be able to donate, but I'd like to at least do something. Everything from strollers to cakes are being auctioned off. I really feel for this family and wanted to get the word out about this.
