Oh What a Beautiful Morning...
The title is meant to be said with a whole lot of sarcasm, which is hard to detect if you aren't here listening to me say it aloud, thus the explanation. Generally my bed time is around 11 or 11:30ish. Last night, there was a change of plans. For some reason, I was extremely tired around 9:30 and fell asleep in my bed. (That would be mistake #1 on my part!) I woke up at around 11:30, to wash my face and brush my teeth. Something that I do frequently, because I can't stand the idea of going to bed with an unwashed face and unbrushed teeth. After washing my face I realized I was no longer tired and decided to join Ryan in the living room, since he was watching the Olympics. Even though we were recording it we both felt the need to stay up until 1 am watching. (That would be mistake #2, for the record!) On a side note, if Shawn Johnson isn't just the cutest little thing, I don't know who is? Evey time I see her I want to pinch her cute cheeks and squeeze her to pieces. Just adorable! So finally Ryan and I go to bed, he actually falls asleep and I just lay there in bed with my brain unable to turn itself off. Until I fell asleep around about 3 am. I know you have all had this happen also, it's the worst feeling ever! Once I finally did drift off I had terrible dreams all night long, truly creepy stuff that I don't totally remember. Fast forward to this morning...Ryan was kind enough to feed Addy some baby food when she woke up around 8:30. I tried for the next little while to go back to sleep, without much success no thanks to the lawn guys outside my window making all manner of noise. Awhile later I put Addy down for her morning nap and don't hear noise for about 15 mins. Then I hear a little scuffling (never a good sign!) and she starts to cry. As this happens on occasion, I think, "She'll be fine and just go back to sleep." Sadly, this was not to be. The crying escalated to screaming, which is a sign that she's probably pooped and it's leaked out of her diaper and into the crib. So I go into her room, only to find her standing up against one side of her crib with her little hands clutching the bars and crying her heart out. I'm about 99% sure that she stood up like that and was probably very proud of herself for doing so. The pride turned to sadness for her, when she couldn't figure out how to sit or lay back down from her standing position. Poor little lady, just standing there sobbing and runny nosed. There is actually a little more to the story, but I feel that I've already droned on for way longer than is necessary. Thankfully, she is now in her crib fast asleep again. Sorry for such a long story, but in a way it seems kind of humorous to me and I thought I would record it for future reference.

Don't you just want to scream at those lawn mowers! Every single day! I don't think the grass grows that fast.
If she is sleeping you should be too! Go take a nap!!! :)
The olympics were worth it...right!?!?
