Random Cooking Thoughts

I am not a lady who likes to chop things, least of all vegetables. I always force Ryan to do any chopping, which he kindly does and never complains about. I've never been a skillful chopper and had an incident with chopping a green pepper a couple years back, that made me even more apprehensive about my chopping skills. So when I found out that I could buy frozen chopped onions (about a year ago) and frozen chopped green peppers (just a few months ago) you can imagine my delight! They are a life saver and are much more affordable than buying fresh. I mean can anyone out there say that they actually like chopping onions? If so, you're a braver soul than I! Another thing that I started doing just a few months ago is writing down what we're having for dinner each night on a little white board in the kitchen. It has been very helpful to me and I have been much better about preparing and sticking to dinner plans each week because of it. The idea of writing down a dinner list for each week was not my own, but one that I got from this blog. This smart lady lists her dinner menus for each week, has recipes for some dishes and has other people list what they're having for dinner for the week. Genius idea for a blog! I only wish I would have thought of it.

I did the menu thing for a few weeks and it made a huge difference. With grocery shopping too. It was so much easier. I'm ust not that organized to keep it up.

Looking forward to seeing you in a couple weeks!!!!
