Today was a good day

Today was a good day for a few different reasons. I will proceed to tell you the reasons right.........(can you feel the suspense building?)now:

*I voted today and although I'm not too fond of either of the 2 remaining candidates, it really is an exciting election for our country. I think it will be so interesting to see how everything turns out.
*I finally went into the optometrist today and got some new glasses. I lost my old glasses at least a month ago, which made me sad because I really liked them. It will be nice to get some new ones and they look quite similar to my old ones. An added bonus, the guy working at the front desk of the office looked like he should instead be working at a used car dealership. He was wearing a chain on his neck, I'm almost sure he was wearing a ball cap and worst of all, a windbreaker. Quite unprofessional in my opinion, but it made me laugh inside all the while.
*We all slept in a little bit this morning. It helped greatly that it was overcast and rainy outside.
*On account of it being rainy and cool outside I was finally able to wear a jacket today and not get all sweaty. I've been waiting to wear long sleeves/jackets for quite some time now, so I enjoyed that!
*I ordered 2 shirts online from Shade. It's a really good company. They sell lots of very simple and long shirts, which are great for layering. I have 2 that I bought at least 6 years ago, that I still wear all the time. They are having a really great sale right now and I only paid $12 total for the shirts I ordered. I got free shipping, which was why my order was so cheap. AWESOME!
*I went to Target today, nuff said!
*Addy was being quite the happy baby today and we enjoyed each other's company all day long. At least I enjoyed hers and it seemed like she enjoyed mine.
*I ate no less than 5 of the pumpkin cream cheese cookies that I made a couple days ago. I think they are some of the most delicious treats ever!
*I finally did the dishes that have been sitting in the sink for about 3 days now. No dishes in the sink=a kitchen looking at least 90% cleaner, in my opinion.
*Ryan shaved off the "soul patch" on his chin, thus making his face very smooth and making it much more pleasant to kiss him.
*The burnt toast smell (see post below, if you are clueless as to what I'm talking about) is almost completely gone from our apartment. Thanks in part to a tip I received from my sister-in-law. (thanks Juli!)
