A book, a movie and my favorite audition

I had heard that a lot of people read this book and liked it, so I decided to jump on the band wagon. I put it on hold at the library about 6 months ago and totally forgot about it. Then I got an e-mail about a month ago saying that it was waiting on the hold shelf for me. It was a very interesting concept, a sci-fi futuristic kind of thing which is not something I would usually like. It was a pretty easy read, because it's actually a young adult book. It was a total page turner, but it was pretty gory in certain parts. I thought the whole love story part was a bit cheese ball, but the main characters and the uniqueness of it made me like the story a lot. I would recommend it!

So we've had this movie in our Netflix queue for quite some time now. We (by we I actually mean me, Ryan fell asleep about 15 minutes into it and I felt compelled to watch the whole thing by myself! I just kept hoping it would get better!) finally watched it a couple of weeks ago. It's one of those movies that you want to see because it might be in the category of being so stupid that it's funny. The problem was it was just stupid and not funny. I really like the main guy Kevin James in King of Queens, but he doesn't really work in a 2 hour movie about a mall cop. In fact, I don't know who would work in a 2 hour movie about a mall cop. I wouldn't recommend it!

My favorite part of watching American Idol isn't when they actually have the competition, but when they hold the auditions. Some of the most funny and weird people try out. The audition above was my absolute favorite of the season! There were too many funny things about this guy to keep track of. Whether it be how conceited he was, his choice of song, that he was sweaty as can be, his hair, the crazy clicking noise he was making while talking to the judges and especially the way he talked to Simon! Please if you haven't watched, you need to. It is guaranteed to make your day and I highly recommend it!

Whew. When I saw your mall cop pic I was afraid you were going to say how funny it was and I was going to have to sneak away and not say a thing. Luckily, you felt exactly as I did -- going in hopeful for a few laughs and finding pretty much none.

I wasn't expecting anything from Mall Cop, but I LOVED it! In fact, we saw Up a couple of days later and liked Mall Cop better. I thought it was hilarious!

I don't watch AI, so I found the clip entertaining. It was a bit distracting in the beginning when they were showing clips of him and sometimes he had the long hair. He was incredibly sweaty. Oh, to be young and excessively confident.

oh liss...paul blart? really? i could've told that probably wasn't going to be too good. and i've been wondering about the hunger games. i've heard from so many people that it's good, but you know me...no sci-fi allowed. i might give it a try anyway.
