At the end of September we were very happy when Grandma and Grandpa Mills came to visit us! We got to do all kinds of fun stuff while they were here. We went to Belmont Park and Addy got to do her favorite thing, ride the carousel! Afterwards we went to a nearby place called the Wave House. Addy was much more interested in playing in the sand than in watching people ride the waves.
We got to do Addy's very favorite thing, go to a puppet show!
Here she is, ticket in hand!
While Grandma and Grandpa Mills were visiting, they were kind enough to take care of Addy while Ryan and I attended Qualcomm's 25th anniversary celebration. It was a really fun evening for us!
There was great food, fireworks and Dave Matthews played a great show. However, I'm pretty sure he was either high as a kite or drunk as a skunk. He was talking up a storm!
The last day of their visit we were able to go eat lunch with Ryan at Qualcomm and took some great pictures!
This picture of Addy and Grandma Mills was my favorite!
Another fun thing we did was go downtown and eat some delightful cupcakes!
Don't you love how the plates are decorated? So cute!
Clearly Addy enjoyed her cupcake!
We also enjoyed watching conference and having a tea party and pedicure in between sessions
I mostly like this picture because Addy looks like she's doing the robot
Addy was so excited that we decided to do a tea party!
Daddy is known for giving a great pedicure
We visited the zoo with Kara, Hallie and Ella
We spent most of our time at the polar bear exhibit. I think the girls would have stayed there all day, if we had let them. They loved it!
While we were at the zoo we had a little incident with bear. Addy dropped him into this dirt area where there were some animals. Luckily, the animals had no interest in touching him and the zookeeper was able to retrieve him, with no harm done. I do love that he fell face down into this position, poor bear!
We got to go the pumpkin patch and I think we picked one of the hottest days of the year to do it. We made a pit stop after for Slurpees, that's how hot it was! Still, we had a great time!
Addy loved shooting some hoops...
Petting the goats...
Going on a hayride...
Being a cow...
And especially, picking out a pumpkin!
We all had a fun, hot time!

finally an update! now if you would just change the blog background so i don't get the weird error message. i'm so demanding, i know. i love your faces in the face cut-out things...but i always love those! i'm shocked at how big addy has gotten. she looks like a little girl and not a toddler anymore. i love that you took a picture of poor bear. i'm so glad a zoo worker rescued him so you didn't have to!
