Christmas 2010

December was a very busy time for our family this year. We moved from our old place (good riddance Summit Park Village apartments!!!) into a town house that we're renting. Although it's smaller than what we had, it's a MILLION times better than dealing with noisy, crazy neighbors and barking, peeing dogs. Not to mention it's right across the street from a bunch of great shopping and restaurants.
We visited Ryan's family in Napa this year for Christmas and had a very nice time. Addy loved being able to play with her cousins. I think the highlight of the trip for her was going to this fun play place in Napa called Scientopia. She got to play and hang out with her cousins and she was in heaven! Christmas morning was wonderful this year! This was the first year that Addy really understood the whole Santa and opening presents thing and that made it so fun for us! Most of all, she loved seeing Christmas lights this year. I think that every person should have a 3 year old around at Christmas time, because it makes the season so much more exciting! Her big Santa present this year was a Radio Flyer scooter and so far she's really loved it. In the tradition of Christmas she ended up getting sick on Christmas night, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it's been the past 2 years. We didn't end up in the ER like last year, so that's always a plus! We had a wonderful time with Ryan's family celebrating the Christmas season!

I'm pretty sure that Addy's favorite present on Christmas morning were her M&M&M's (that's what she always calls them) and her candy canes.

Sneaky, sneaky

She also enjoyed her Woody and Buzz toys

Ryan looking super excited about opening something!

I think more exciting than Addy opening her gifts was watching Mardel open her IPad! Addy has such a cute Grandma!

Addy playing with Grandma's new toy!

All 13 of the cute Mills grandkids! Addy wasn't feeling well at all by the time this picture was taken and had to be bribed with a candy cane to even be in the picture.

Grandma and Grandpa Mills got Addy these very cute boots for Christmas, which she wears and loves!

The favorite thing at Scientopia was this little tricycle type contraption. Addy spent almost the entire time on it.

Watching scarfs go up in the air

Photobucket
Playing in the puppet theater.

Photobucket
Playing trains with her cousins, Riley and Max (they are all about 2 months apart in age and play so cute together!)

Photobucket
I think this is such a cute picture of these little cousins. They all look so absorbed in their art project

Addy was constantly asking to sit on Santa's lap this year. When we finally took her to get her picture taken with Santa, this was the face we got for all the pictures. Completely somber. She WAS NOT going to smile! Oh well, at least she got a candy cane out of it!

It was fun for us to watch Addy Christmas morning. You are right about a 3 year old at Christmas! Thanks much for coming for the week! Fun to see the photos of Scientopia again. Especially love Addy's "up-do" in the Santa photo!

Thanks for sharing the photos of your Christmas. Addy and her cousins look like they're having a great time at Scientopia. Such cute kids! Would love to know what Addy was thinking when she was sitting on Santa's lap.
