I figured since I haven't shared much at all about this pregnancy it would probably be good for me to do that now before I have this baby.
First of all, no we don't yet have a name for this baby boy. We both have names that we like, but none that we both love. We do have a middle name, but we're keeping it under wraps until the baby is born.
Second, I am having a c-section and it is scheduled for March 23rd. Unreal, because that is only a short 2 weeks from today! YIKES! I will be delivering at the same hospital that I delivered at with Addy, which I'm glad about because I really liked it.
Third, I have a feeling we are going to have our hands full with this baby. He's a real mover and shaker. He moves around a ton (and always has) and lets me know if he doesn't like the position I'm laying in. Lying down on my back or right side, even for a second really ticks him off! He kicks around and goes crazy until I turn back over to my left side. Very particular, this one.
Fourth, this pregnancy has gone by fast (with the exception of the first trimester) and I don't know how prepared I feel for this baby. I feel like I still have so much to to and only 2 weeks to do it in. Pretty freaky stuff!
Fifth, my main pregnancy cravings have changed throughout this pregnancy. My first trimester I was craving biscuits and gravy all the time. As of late, all I want is Coca Cola Zero. Not so good, since there happens to be a Sonic about 2 seconds down the road! I have had to limit myself to going there only once a week. Gotta love happy hour at Sonic!
Last of all, I will never again take a rather long walk pushing a 3 year old in a stroller when I'm 37 weeks along! We got a new stroller for the baby and I wanted to try it out. I discovered just how big and out of shape I am when I decided to walk over to Target and back home. The walk over to Target was no big deal, but the walk back home was a real doozy! I pushed Addy in the stroller the whole way and I literally thought I might die! When we got home I crashed on the couch and feel asleep. I'm pretty sure when I had Addy I was in much better shape than I am now. I remember walking all around Balboa Park when I was about 37 weeks pregnant with her, with no problem at all. One good thing, the new stroller is great and I love it!
Jeri and Angela, some cute girls in my ward had a baby shower for me this past Saturday. I wish I would have taken more pictures of the shower, because the decorations were so cute! Sadly, I only got a couple. I had Ryan take a couple of me before I left too, which is good since I think these are the only belly shots I have so far. Without further ado, here they are...
The ladies divided into teams to play a game of Mad Libs. They were basically telling my birth story and they turned out to be very funny! I got to pick the winning team when they were done. On the couch- Sue, Andrea & Melanie In the window seat-Barbara, Deann & Tanya
On this team, from top to bottom-Devin with her adorable baby girl, Melissa R., Kiersten and London

Referring to terms for being "with child" you forgot Granny Davis' favorite "PG." Enjoyed reading this latest post and hearing about your shower. Bubba would be a fine name for this boy--I think I'll call him that regardless...just kidding. So exited for him to be here!
I meant to type "excited"--not "exited." My brain is a bit exited these days.
AH! Melissa you look SO GOOD! I albsolutely love that one of you turned to the side. I say it goes in a frame in the baby's room. Really pretty.
I have a feeling this little guy is preparing you for what's to come. Get ready!
And, the term "Preggers" makes me want to rip my ears off. The others dont bother me, but that one...gah...so annoying!
Can't wait to meet the baby!
As you know, London took a TON of pictures at your shower. I need to send them along, although I'll spare you most of the ones of me and Jessie.
I remember feeling a lot less prepared when I was pregnant with Ashton. I know the feeling. Let me know if I can do anything for you!
You look so cute Melissa! I was sad I couldn't make it to the shower. Looks like it was fun! Good luck on the 23rd! Can't wait to see what he looks like. (and I have to agree with not liking those 3 words. Eew.)
It's so fun to see you with your pregnant belly. I am excited for you to have a busy little boy to add to your family. You look like one of those cute maternity models in your fashionista maternity clothes. I'm thinking the clothes I have stored away are a little out of date :)
I wish we lived closer. It'd be fun to see you again.
Good luck!
liss you look great! i can't wait for this little man to get here. i'm glad you did an update, i was wondering how everything is going.
You look fantastic! Your face looks good too....no puffiness, cute little round tummy...you were born to be Prego! (totally trying to annoy you with the Prego remark :)
I wish we lived closer so that I could take Addy while you're at the hospital with Bubba. (another attempt to be an annoying sister in law).
We will come up with some names for you. Kirra danced with a guy named Redgar this weekend. Redgar Mills. Kinda catchy. Kidding.
The countdown is on!!
Nice post Melissa. You still look great! A week away!!! We are all so excited!
Your description of the little guys behavior in uterine sounds a bit like both John and Alex. Good luck with that!
Any way, tonight I read through a list of Irish baby boy names. The meaning of one name, Aiden, is "Little Fiery One." Sounded appropriate. Bubba might just stick!
