Updates and hopes for my future blogging career..

As per the usual, I'm behind on my blogging. My hope is that one day I can become a frequent blogger once again and post things on a weekly or even daily basis, rather than a monthly one. The past couple of months have been so busy, it seems. Lots of fun stuff though, which has been really nice! Here's what we've been up to for the past 2+ months...

Addy has been very into treasure hunts lately. So I took her to Dollar Tree (we know how to do it up classy around these parts!) and let her pick out anything she wanted to use as the "treasure." I then made the very detailed and artistic treasure map you see there below for her to find her treasure with. Here's the event in pictures...

As you can see, she is impressed with my artistic abilities!

And here she is wearing her treasure, these awesome flamingo sunglasses!

Photobucket
Decked out in her full superhero garb, because what superhero doesn't wear flamingo sunglasses as part of their get-up?

Next up, we celebrated my birthday. Which was one of the nicest birthdays I've ever had! It was a 3 day long celebration. It involved some very nice gifts, having lunch with friends at Panera, some shopping at Fashion Valley with my great friend (and fashion consultant!) Christina and seeing The Hunger Games with my fella. Totally perfect!

We kicked it off by picking up Ryan at work and eating at Chick-Fil-A. We don't have one close to where we live, so when we get to go there it's a treat!

Photobucket
Addy loved that she got this awesome hat to wear!

Photobucket
I didn't realize that Cohen and I were matching, until I looked at this picture.

Photobucket
Cohen loved hanging out in Daddy's chair at Qualcomm

Photobucket
After lunch we went and walked around the temple. It was a beautiful day and we pretty much had the temple grounds to ourselves.

Photobucket
Addy LOVED all the flowers! I don't think she stopped talking about them the whole time we were there! She was so excited to talk to the sister missionaries that were there that day, it was really cute!

Photobucket
We went to one of our very favorite places for dinner. The best turkey burger I've ever eaten is served here! If you're ever in San Diego, I highly recommend eating at Burger Lounge!

Photobucket
We let the kids hang out on the grass nearby the restaurant for a bit

My Nothing Bundt marble cake, so delicious! Ryan did all green decorations and it looked really cute. It was the most fabulous birthday, due mostly to Ryan! He's such a thoughtful fella!

Last but not least, we had a very fun Disneyland trip at the end of April/beginning of May. We went with Grandma Mills, The Mrazek's and Kirra. It was so much fun to hang out with family and Addy LOVED having her cousins there! We had such a great time! I wish I would have taken more pictures, but I did manage to get some cute pics.

The highlight of Disneyland for Addy was definetely when she got to meet the princesses. She still talks about it all the time!

One day when we were eating lunch before our trip Addy asked, "Mom, what do princesses eat for lunch?" I said, "I don't know, you'll have to ask them that when we go." I reminded her before we met them and I think she was very excited to hear their responses.

Photobucket
She was so excited that she forgot to ask Sleeping Beauty the lunch question altogether.

Photobucket
Snow Whites response was, "I'm going to make a gooseberry pie."

I don't remember what Jasmine said she eats for lunch, but she asked Addy what she was having for lunch and when Addy said a PB&J her response was, "Abu loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches."

We also got to meet Winnie the Pooh

I kinda wish we all would have stepped into the picture on this one, but still very cute!

Grandma and Addy riding It's a Small World. Last time we went this ride was closed and Addy was enamored with it, as is evident from the picture!
