Horray for Medi-Cal!
After a very long, stressful, and arduous process, thanks to the California government, we finally found out yesterday that we received Medi-Cal!!!!! I didn't receive full scale Medi-Cal, which is what I was hoping for, but at least pregnancy Medi-Cal. Which means I'll receive free health care for myself during my pregnancy, for the delivery, and for 2 months after the baby is born. The baby will receive free health care for the entire 1st year of her life, which is great! Maybe not such exciting news to everyone else, but to me, a lady who is about 8 months pregnant by now, it's a real load off my shoulders! YIPPEE!!!

That is really great news. Some form of medical insurance is always great when you're pregnant. Brad and I would probably have to file for bancruptcy (sp?) if I hadn't had insurance while pregnant. Especially since I was in the hospital for 11 days. 11 days in the hospital is A LOT of money!!
Hurrah! I'm glad you got everything worked out finally.
