I'm going under the knife!
I had my Dr.'s appointment yesterday and on the positive side we found out that the baby is doing well in there. He did a non-stress test and her heart rate was normal and steady. He also did an ultrasound and found that she has more than enough amniotic fluid and weighs somewhere in the range of 8 lbs. The less positive side of things is that my cervix is still "unfavorable" (AKA like wood) and she hasn't dropped. The Dr. told us that he thinks my pelvis is just too small for her head, which is obviously a problem. Since this is the case, he recommended that I have a c-section, as opposed to being in labor for a really long time and then probably ending up having to get a c-section. Anyway, Ryan and I went home yesterday and talked it over, prayed about it, and took into consideration the Dr.'s advice and decided to go ahead with the c-section. So here's a summary, this Friday the 26th we will be having a c-section at 2:20 p.m. at Sharp Grossmont hospital. (If it isn't burnt to a crisp by then, that is!) I feel very good about having the baby at Grossmont, because it is a very safe place right now according to where the fires are. We are also excited that we finally get to meet our baby girl!

YAY!!!! I know you are not thrilled with the idea of a c-section, but it's a good decision. How exciting! That's just a few days away, holy crap! She's almost here!
So, I guess this means you'll stop the recreational activities?
I'm so glad you have an end date in sight! Ady is just nice and warm where she is. What are you having her wear home from the hospital? I can't wait to see pictures of her. I hope you take a ton at the hospital.
Yay for having babies!
Good luck! I'll be thinking of you. It's so exciting to have the baby. Brien and I were so emotional that we would just cry over baby Z during the first week and realize how blest we were. It's so awesome! You'll be a great mom!
I am so excited that you will be seeing your little girl in 3 days. AND most of us were right (by that survey), you will have her on Oct. 26th! How funny is that. Having a c-section isn't all that bad when you KNOW it's going to happen. Good luck with everything! We'll be thinking about you on Friday!
This is a good thing, you get to meet your baby girl this week! Woo Hoo. I can't wait to see pictures. You'll do great!
I think you should name her Qualcom instead. :)
That's wonderful news! Congratulations and good luck. I sort of envy the being able to schedule it. We look forward to seeing super cute pictures soon :)
