I'm On Strike!

I have decided to go on strike. On strike from what, you may ask? My answer, on a chocolate strike. My sister-in-law Kelly and I (at least I think you're still game Kelly, e-mail and let me know.) decided that we are going to stop eating chocolate. I feel that I am truly addicted and it's not good. I think I would be in much better shape at this juncture if I would just lay off the chocolate. Treats in general are my big downfall, but most of the treats I really crave consist of some form of the evil brown, sweet stuff! I'm not sure exactly how long we're going to be on strike, but all I know is it needs to happen! If anyone else would like to join us in our cause you are welcome to do so!

Aaahhh!! This is like in church when someone is giving a talk about your worst weakness, but rather than trying to repent you just want to put your finger's in your ears and say, "I'm not listening, I'm not listening!!!" I am totally addicted to chocolate treats as well!! I have to eat several a day!! I am too weak to change. Keep posting on your success. Perhaps it will motivate me to change. Perhaps.

Blah. I am so not doing this one. I wish you the best, though! I prefer to eliminate all other treats besides chocolate, that way I only waste the calories on things I truly love.

I gave up chocolate once during college from January-my birthday (so seven months). It was hard, but I was amazed that I was able to do it. When you put your mind to something it can be done. There are very few suitable substitutes for some good chocolate.

I haven't eaten chocolate today...but yesterday the last See's candy was calling MY name, and since I didn't want it to call anyone else's name, I ate it.
So, I'm chocolate free for a whole 14 hours. I did great last week, I think it was 5 days, I'll keep you posted from here!

Brien didn't eat any chocolate for 6 years. He enjoyed the variety of other desserts he had in that time period.
