Cracklin' Rosie!

Doesn't he look like Chester the Molestor? Gross!

Do you ever listen to a really annoying song and then have it stuck in your head for ages and can't get it out? I am by no means a Neil Diamond fan, (sorry Jess!) but for some reason I made the decision to put a few of his songs on my Ipod. It was a bad choice! Everytime I listen to "Cracklin' Rosie" I have it stuck in my head for about 2 days. The most annoying part is I hardly know any of the words, mostly just the chorus. So basically I just keep repeating in my head the lyrics, "Oh my love, my Rosie child, you got the way to make me happy." Even if I did know all the lyrics, who knows what in the world Neil is talking about? Not like I'd really want to know, Bleck!

That is so funny. It totally reminded me of once in awhile when I keep having this go through my head, "Jenny's got a gun . . ." Only I go insane more than anything because I don't even know if the name is Jenny or jimmy or what so there is just a garbled "J-nmy" SOund in my head. Then of course, like you said, I can't remember any other lines exceot something like, "what can her daddy do . . ." I wish you didn't remind me of that, now it is in my head again and it makes me want to cry for being crazy!! (WHo is that anyway? Gun's n Roses? Jess, do you know?

I love Neil Diamond. Maybe you shouldn't watch American Idol this week...

My personal favorite best Neil Diamond lyric is, "Money talks, but it can't sing and dance and it can't walk..." Let that stick in your head for awhile.

I don't think I know any of Neil Diamond songs! I do hate when I get songs stuck in my head though. It drives me nuts!

I can't believe you don't like "the Great Neil Diamond"! I may need to re-evaluate whether I should read your blog.(j/k)

How can you NOT love "Forever in Blue Jeans"? Man that has some great lyrics "Money talks, but it can't sing and dance & it can't walk..." That is sheer poetry! Neil Diamond is pure hotness!

And Nancy is talking about "Janie's Got a Gun" by Aerosmith which is about a girl who kills her father because he molested her when she was younger. I don't really care for that song too much, sort of a downer.

I have had this song in my head all day since I read your post this morning. Good thing is that Neil Diamond always reminds me of a happy things. I don't ever watch American Idol, but I think I will this week, just to hear the songs. I'm not so into him that I'd put him on my iPod, but I do like hearing him on the radio when I'm station surfing.
