If At First you Don't Succeed

I decided to give the whole rice cereal thing another try. Following the advice of reader's of this blog to mix it with a little something else. I mixed it with sweet potatoes and it was quite the hit with Addy! Basically, the first time she tried it Ryan couldn't shovel it into her little mouth fast enough. As soon as he gave her one bite, she would already have her mouth open and ready for another. Next we are moving on to carrots, stayed tuned for the exciting results! I also included some pictures from an annual BBQ that is held for the students and faculty in Ryan's program at school. The professor that is Ry's mentor, Lisa is such a nice lady and we got to sit with her and her cute daughter Emmy. It was the perfect day for a BBQ and the back yard it was held in was absolutely beautiful. It made me wish we had a yard of our own to plant lovely flowers in!

My mom sent Addy this cute little sundress that she wore to the BBQ.

Lisa and Addy

Emmy, making her craziest face!

That sundress is absolutely adorable! Yellow is definitely her color. Hallie loves her sweet potatoes as well. Along with all the other "yellow group" vegetables. Peas are a different story though. The faces she makes are pretty funny.

We gave up on the rice cereal thing. He liked it but it was upsetting his stomach too much. We'll give him a little longer before we try again. Glad to hear little missy likes the flavored food, sounds better to me too! Addy look really cute in that yellow dress!!!!

Adeline looks very pretty in her new dress. I love that she's holding onto her toes--so cute I can't stand it!!

That dress is really sweet and she has just the perfect, round head! She reminds me of happy things like Springtime.

Just wait until you hit green beans...they never like those veggies. Only the squashes and fruits.

Just be happy your husband is not my husband or every time you left your baby with him, you'd come home to find it happily slobbering on an oreo or some other no no 6 month old food!
