I'm an April Fool!

One of the worst (or best, depending on your own personal point of view!) April Fool's pranks ever played on me dates back to the year 1997, when I had my first job ever as a professional ice cream scooper at Baskin Robbins'. I happened to be working on the evening of April Fool's day and received a phone call that some might call lewd. Here is how the conversation went. The guy on the other end of the line told me that he was with a fraternity at UNLV and was wondering if I would be interested in participating in a naked volleyball tournament. I responded that no I would not be interested in such a thing. Don't ask me why I didn't hang up the phone right then and there, who knows? He then proceeded to ask me if I had any friends that would be interested in participating. I once again responded no, none of my friends were into that sort of thing. I got off the phone with him quite alarmed by such a request. Imagine me an innocent 16 year old girl, being asked to play naked volleyball. It was only when a few minutes had passed that I realized what day it was and also realized that the joke was on me!

It's a good thing it was you and not me. I totally wouldn't have realized it was a joke and would have signed up on the spot for his little tournament.

I picture Ryan being a lover of April Fool's Day.

I don't know why reading about someone asking you if you wanted to play naked volleyball made me laugh so hard. Maybe it was your response and how I could actually hear you saying that.

After your post yesterday, I don't dare not leave a comment. I don't remember the story about the naked volleyball phone call. Have you been keeping it to yourself all these years? It's no wonder you dislike playing volleyball so much.

I knew Jessica would have signed up. She loves naughty things. It would have been a way better April Fool's joke had you been willing to show up ready to play!

I'm sad I forgot it was April Fools til late evening. My kids would have liked a few good jokes.
