We partied like it was 2009, only not really!

It's true that New Year's was over 2 weeks ago now, which kind of makes me lame for only just now posting this! Ryan has been on a break from school, which equals me spending time with him (HOORAY!), which equals me neglecting my blogging duties. Truth be told, I'm kind of bored with the whole blogging thing lately. Not looking at other people's blogs, just with my own blog. That's quite beside the point, though. We didn't really do much partying on New Year's, in fact quite the opposite. We stayed in and had some good food and watched a good movie (see pictures below as proof). The movie was so good in fact, that we missed the stroke of midnight by about 2 minutes. We didn't care much though, because we had quite the lovely evening together.
The food consisted of...

Homemade Chex mix. I was really pumped for this and it kind of let me down!

Homemade chili. Simply fabulous, didn't let me down at all!

Crockpot cherry cobbler. Also fabulous!

And we can't leave out the standard Mormon celebration drink, Martenelli's!

Our entertainment for the evening...

Neither Ryan or I had seen this movie yet and were afraid it wouldn't live up to all the hype. Luckily, it totally did! Excellent, very dark and creepy and also action packed. Heath Ledger was amazingly freaky to watch! I'm not usually a fan of the action/super hero flicks, but this one was great!

Looks like a fun night. I loved The Dark Knight too. I am usually not a fan of movies like that either but I really liked it.

That's my kind of night! That cobbler looks delicious. I love how you post pictures of food. I subscribe to two magazines. The Ensign and Everyday Food. It has great pictures of food. I hate cookbooks that don't have pictures of the food. Your blog is like a lucious little cookbook. PS I have attempted to watch Dark Night three times...and fallen alseep every time! Not because it's boring, because I am too pregnant to be awake past 7pm. My husband is exasperated with me for blowing off his fave flick.
