Last Saturday we decided that we would head to the beach. We got all of our gear packed up and went to Coronado. It was lovely as always, but so windy. I've never been to the beach on such a windy day and it made things a bit difficult. Mostly because, anything that we would put down would be completely covered in sand within just a few minutes. Addy really enjoyed playing in the sand and just puttering around, but DID NOT enjoy the water. Ryan tried to convince her to like it, but she wasn't having any part of it. When the water would come towards her, she would walk away as fast as her chubby little legs would carry her. At one point she was sitting in one of the chairs we had (luckily!) brought along. She got too close to the edge, tipped off and did a face plant right into the sand. It didn't seem to phase her much at all and was actually quite funny to watch. If she would have gotten hurt it wouldn't have been funny, but since she sustained no injuries we found it funny. I am hoping that this will be one of many beach trips that we make this year.
P.S. I know that a bikini isn't the most modest swimming suit choice, but her other swimming suit doesn't fit and who doesn't love a little baby bikini? We couldn't resist having her wear it, because of the high cuteness factor!
