Easter Festivities

Our Easter celebration spanned over a few days this year and we had such fun! My vote is that General Conference is on Easter Sunday every year. I really liked that we got to stay home in jammies most of the day and I especially enjoyed the inspiring words that I heard about the Savior. The first thing we did to celebrate was go to an Easter egg hunt at London's house. Addy had fun and I think she's finally starting to understand the whole concept behind looking for the eggs. On Saturday our apartment complex had an Easter egg hunt that we went to. The one good thing about this apartment complex is that they do a lot of fun community events. I think Addy enjoyed drinking lemonade there more than the actual Easter egg hunt itself. On Sunday morning we woke up and looked for our Easter baskets. We were kind enough to let Addy go first. I insist that I get an Easter basket every year. I don't feel it's too much to ask and it's a Jones family tradition that cannot be broken! (Can you tell that I feel strongly about this subject?) We then had our friends, the Rogers come over and join us for dinner. Their little girl, Isabelle and Addy are such great buddies and had a really fun time together! It was one of the nicest, fun and most relaxing weekends I've had in a long time!

These dressy pictures were taken the Sunday before Easter Sunday

I thought this was funny, mostly because of how ticked off I look about Addy not cooperating!

and chowing down! This girl loves to eat! Especially anything sweet. I wonder where she might get that from? Hmm....

I love her face in this one! So happy about drinking that lemonade!

I think this was the first and last time I'll ever see an Easter bunny manning (or womanning, as the case may be) the BBQ!

Addy and the Easter bunny. I was actually shocked that Addy agreed to having this taken!

Doesn't she look so thrilled to be decorating eggs?

Addy and Isabelle were quite pleased with how the eggs turned out

I love these daffodils! So pretty!

This was the cake I made for dessert. Not too great looking on the outside....

But look at the inside, so pretty! By the way, you should try this frosting recipe. It's made with flour and granulated sugar, which sounds like the weirdest thing ever. I was very skeptical about it, but actually it tasted like a slightly sweet whipped cream, really good!

Those are such cute pictures of Addy. I can't believe how grown-up she looks. Thanks again for a great evening.

What a fun, spring-y post. Made me really miss you guys. I see so much of both of you in Addy. My "word" is Mamman....makes me think of my Dad trying to say Mormon to make us laugh while traveling or something. (Ryan will get this :)). Why do you always have fun word verifications! lol

Thanks for sharing your Easter pictures. Addy is adorable! What happened to Ryan's back? I don't remember you mentioning it. Hope he's feeling better.
