Mills Family Favorites

Here's some of the stuff we've been liking to eat, do, read, etc. around our house lately...
*Frozen blueberries in oatmeal for breakfast. Delicious and Addy's favorite breakfast right now.
*Checking out read-along books with CD's from the library. I loved the read-along story books with tapes when I was little and now Addy loves the books with CD's and I love that she loves them! So far, I think this one is her favorite.
*Going to Grossmont Center to see the "mountains" (as Addy calls them) also known as the fountains. Can't go wrong with a 2 story Target , a Sees and fountains, right?
*Doing impressions. Addy loves for us (mostly Ryan, actually) to do impressions for her. Here's how the dialogue goes down, "How bout Sana Claus?" Ryan does his best Santa impression. "How bout Teyey Monsta" (that's Telly from Sesame Street) Great Telly impression by Ryan. "How bout Barney?" Barney impression. "How bout Baby Bop?" Ryan does the worst Baby Bop impression ever, no matter Addy loves it! "How bout Yassats?" This is where we always get stumped. Who or what is Yassats? We don't know, but Addy is always wanting Ryan to do an impression or him/her. I might also add that when I attempt to do any impressions other than Santa, Addy looks at me like I'm a mutant and totally incompetent!
*Going to the zoo. My mom was so kind as to get us a membership to the zoo when she was here visiting and we are loving it! We've gone about 4 times already!
*Exercising. I've been trying to do an exercise DVD at least 3 x's a week after breakfast and Addy loves to do it with me. She gets so excited when I ask her if she wants to exercise and has been known to sport her ballet costumes for our exercise time. I love the Crunch workout DVD's! Not way hard, but not way easy.
*Car hunting. We're looking for a gently used car (if there is such a thing!) to buy sometime in the very near future. My poor little Maxima is on it's last leg and we need something that's more reliable and doesn't have 3 dings in the windshield! We're looking for a crossover or wagon type car. Any suggestions are welcome!
*Listening to our upstairs neighbor's singing! Oh wait, that's something that he loves not us! In fact, I am really beginning to despise his stupid all day long singing! Someday I will record him doing it, so you can all hear what we're dealing with here!

yes yes please record it!

ryan really is the best at impressions. i'm actually kind of annoyed he'll do them on demand for addy but won't do granpda jones for me when i ask. the yassats thing is really funny. usually parents can understand their own kids, so it's extra funny you can't even understand her.

ps- my word verification is "chums". i like it.

Thanks for introducing me to the Target frozen blueberries in oatmeal. Yummy.

Happy to hear you're enjoying the zoo pass. Next time we go there, you'll know where to find everything--without the stupid map!

It would be sweet revenge if the guy upstairs can hear all of the impressions going on in your apartment and finds it annoying.

Love the favorites! As far as cars go, I say think of the future. We have a Jeep Cherokee and while it fits us 4 fine on a car ride, we can't do much else. To travel, we are totally out of space. And the back is pretty big. (You know how much stuff kids need to travel). And we can just barely squeeze in another person between the carseats in the back. So think big! As much as I said I'd never do it, we're thinking mini-van for our next car, just for space.

ps- i'm copying jocelyn. my word is 'esurit'. so when you get your car...use esurance and "e-sur-it!"

I tried to comment days ago, but my internet was having trouble. We also love blueberries in our oatmeal. Z requests extra berries to eat plain; I tried fresh blueberries once and she didn't like how they tasted.

I love when toddlers repeatedly use a word that they think we should know and we just can't figure it out. We sing songs at bed time, and when she was younger her request for "child of God" was incomprehensible. Currently we can't decipher the word she uses to describe her dad's belly.
