Shortly after we moved into our new apartment we decided that our kitchen chairs needed a makeover. We didn't want to go out and buy all new chairs, so we decided to reupholster the chairs we already had. We went and picked out some cool fabric and bought a staple gun. When I say we reupholstered the chairs, that really means Ryan because he did every bit of the work. Including pulling out the 10 million staples in the old chair. I really didn't do a thing, besides helping to pick out the fabric. Anyway, we were very happy with the way they turned out. I thought Ryan did a great job on them!

The other exciting news at our house is that we got a new car, which was long overdue! You see, I have driven the same car now ever since I got my driver's license. (which actually didn't happen until I was 18, but that's a sad/funny story for another time.) So if you're doing the math, that means I've been driving this car for about 12 years now! As you may be able to tell it's gotten A LOT of dings along the way, (most of which I would add were no fault of my own) but it's been a great car for many years. However, it was time for something that was more roomy and more reliable. We ended up getting a 2008 Kia Rondo and have been very happy with it so far. I'll be the first to admit that it's not the coolest looking car, but it's a huge upgrade compared to my poor little Maxima. I love it!

I like your "new" dining room chairs--good job Ryan! Also like how you look in the new Kia. Happy driving!
look at how late our crazy mom is up leaving blog comments. oh janie.
cute chairs! i'm glad to see you're wearing your glasses while driving. safety first. if my memory serves me correct (and i think it does), didn't you run into some pole or something in the institute parking lot? hmmmm...not your fault, huh?
I LOVE the chairs! It's such a cute fabric. And I may need to borrow your staple gun. I've been thinking I might need one for a project in the works. And yay for the new car!
I love the chairs and always get so intimidated by any "project" like that. Good job to you! Or, well, to your husband! :)
